Which Planet Is Affecting My Health? Health Indicators in Kundli

Dr. Mandeep C Saini

Before the list

If you have symptoms, see a doctor. Nothing in this article identifies a condition, and no planet corresponds to a diagnosis.

What the tradition offers is a way of describing tendency: how a person's system tends to behave, and where strain tends to gather for them specifically. That is genuinely useful and it is narrower than most articles on this subject pretend.

Whatever is discussed here goes alongside medical care and never in place of it.

Temperature comes before the planet

Reading planets one at a time is where most health astrology goes wrong. In Bhrigu Nandi Nadi the first question is not which planet but what temperature the combination produces.

Hot: Sun, Mars, Rahu. Cold: Moon, Venus, Saturn, Ketu. Neutral: Jupiter, which leans warm, and Mercury, which mirrors its company.

Two hot planets together intensify heat. Two cold planets intensify stillness. A hot and a cold planet together produce tension and alternation. Hot and cold planets works through the system.

Read this way, the planet list below stops being trivia and becomes a description of a system.

What each planet traditionally indicates

Sun. Hot and steady. Associated with vitality, the constitution as a whole, and the body's core function. The Sun is the planet of general strength rather than of any narrow system, which is why its condition colours everything.

Moon. Cold and fluid. Associated with the fluid aspects of the body, with the digestive and nourishing function, and with mind and mood. A Moon under pressure is the traditional indicator for restlessness and disturbed sleep.

Mars. Hot and sharp. Associated with heat, force, blood and anything the tradition describes as acute or inflammatory. Mars indicates a system that responds quickly and forcefully, which is a strength as often as a difficulty.

Mercury. Neutral, and the most context-dependent of all. Associated with the nervous system, speech and the skin. Mercury with Mars runs nervously hot; Mercury with Saturn runs dry and slow. The same Mercury behaves oppositely in two charts.

Jupiter. Neutral leaning warm, and the planet of expansion. Associated with growth, increase and the liver, the organ of transformation and storage. Jupiter amplifies whatever it touches, which is not always desirable.

Venus. Cold, comfortable, accumulating. Associated with the reproductive system, with fluid balance, and with the effects of indulgence. Venus indicates a system that stores rather than burns.

Saturn. Cold, slow and persistent. Associated with structure, bones, joints and everything long-standing. Saturn holds. When the tradition describes something chronic rather than acute, Saturn is usually involved. It also indicates endurance, which is why Saturn-heavy charts often carry a great deal for a very long time before saying so.

Rahu. Hot, amplifying, irregular. Rahu enlarges. Associated with patterns that spread, recur, or move from one part of the body to another. It is the indicator the tradition reaches for when a complaint does not stay in one place, and it is also the most over-blamed planet in the entire subject.

Ketu. Cold, reducing, separating. Ketu cuts. Associated with removal, reduction and the traditional indications around operations. Ketu is also associated with the difficult-to-locate: something present that does not present clearly.

Why a single culprit is usually a bad reading

People arrive wanting one planet named, and a reader who names one sounds decisive.

The tradition does not work that way. What is read is the combination: which planets share a house, what temperature that mixture creates, which house it occupies, and which trine circuit that house belongs to. A finding is a pattern, not a planet.

There is a practical tell here. A reading that blames Rahu for an unexamined symptom, or declares Saturn to be causing everything, has produced a headline rather than a finding. A planet that explains everything explains nothing.

The three verbs worth remembering

If you take one thing from this article, take these.

Saturn holds. Slow, structural, long-standing.

Rahu enlarges. Spreading, recurring, migrating.

Ketu cuts. Separating, reducing, removing.

Those three organise most of what the tradition says about chronic and recurring patterns, and they are why the same complaint is read differently depending on which of the three is involved. Why do I keep having health problems applies them to the recurring case.

Houses, briefly

Planets describe how. Houses describe where difficulty gathers.

The 6th is daily work, service and ordinary maintenance, and most of what shows there is habit rather than fate. The 8th is what is hidden and slow to surface. The 12th is depletion, sleep and rest, where chronic under-recovery lives far more often than anything dramatic.

These three form one circuit and are read together. The 1st house sits apart, describing the body and its capacity to recover.

What to do with any of this

Not much on its own, honestly, and that is the correct answer.

Knowing that your chart runs hot, or that Saturn holds the structural side of it, is a description rather than an instruction. It becomes useful in combination with two other things: which periods activate that pattern, so demanding stretches can be planned for, and a genuine medical picture from a doctor, which is the only place a diagnosis comes from.

A reading that stops at "Mars is affecting your health" has given you a phrase. A reading that says your system runs hot, tends to respond fast and recover badly from sustained pressure, and has a demanding period in a nameable stretch, has given you something to act on.

Meri health kaisi rahegi covers what a health reading honestly produces, and a health and constitution reading works within those limits deliberately. The material is treated in full in Medical BNN.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is there one planet responsible for my health?

Rarely, and looking for a single culprit is usually a sign the reading has been oversimplified. The tradition reads a combination: which planets sit together, what temperature that mixture produces, and which house it occupies. A single planet named as the cause is a headline rather than a finding.

Is Saturn bad for health?

No. Saturn is cold and slow, and the tradition associates it with the chronic, the structural and the long-standing. That is a description of pace, not of harm. Saturn also indicates endurance, which is why Saturn-heavy charts often carry a great deal for a very long time.

My astrologer blamed Rahu for everything. Is that right?

Rahu is genuinely associated with patterns that enlarge, spread or migrate, so it appears often in recurring complaints. But a planet that explains everything explains nothing, and blaming Rahu for an unexamined symptom is a way of sounding authoritative rather than being useful.

Can these indicators tell me what is wrong?

No. They describe body systems and tendencies, never conditions. Diagnosis requires examination, history and testing, and a chart contains none of those. If you have symptoms, see a doctor.

Do remedies for a planet improve health?

Nothing purchased changes a transit, and no object treats an illness. Where a reading suggests something practical, it is the ordinary kind: rest, pace, and knowing which periods ask more of you. Be cautious of anyone selling a remedy for a health concern.
