Family consultation
Three charts read together, two adults and one child, for households working through a decision that affects everyone.
Short answer
Household decisions are rarely one person's decision. A relocation that suits one adult's professional timing may fall in a difficult period for a child's education, and a change of work that is well timed for the earner may not be well timed for the household.
This is the longest session offered, because three charts have to be read individually before the interaction between them means anything. What it produces is a view of the household's shared timing: the periods where the charts pull in the same direction, and the periods where they do not.
Scope
What this consultation covers.
Each chart on its own
The governing chains for all three people, briefly, because the interaction cannot be read without them.
Shared timing
Where activation periods across the three charts align, and where a period that is favourable for one is difficult for another.
The decision in front of you
Relocation, schooling, a career move, or a significant purchase, read against the household's combined timing.
Household friction
Recurring tension read structurally, as an interaction between charts rather than as anyone's fault.
The session
How it runs.
Before the session
All three charts are cast and the cross-chart interactions worked out. This preparation is why the session runs to a full hour.
The reading
Each chart briefly, then the interaction, then the decision.
Your questions
Both adults are welcome on the call, and it is usually better if both are there.
Preparation
What to bring.
- Date, time, and place of birth for all three people.
- The decision the household is facing, and any deadline attached to it.
- The approximate dates of the last significant household change, such as a move or a job change.
What this is not
A reading describes timing and structure. It does not adjudicate between family members, and it is not family therapy.
Questions
About this consultation.
- Can it cover more than three people?
- Three is what this session is scoped and priced for. A larger household is possible but needs a longer session, so ask through the contact form first rather than booking this one.
- Does it have to be two adults and a child?
- No. Three charts of any relationship work the same way. The common case is two adults and a child, which is why it is described that way.
- What if one person does not want to take part?
- Their chart can still be read from their birth details, but consider whether reading a chart for someone who has not agreed to it is the right thing to do. Dr. Mandeep C Saini will raise this if it comes up.
