Start by narrowing it
A career that is not moving has several possible causes and the building is only one of them.
It could be the market. It could be the role, or the organisation, or a manager. It could be a period in your own chart where effort is simply not converting, which is a real pattern and a well-defined one. Or it could be that where you work every day is working against you.
The mistake is to assume the last of those before ruling out the others, because it is the one with a service attached to it. So this article does the ruling out first.
The chronological test
Ask when it started, to the month if you can.
If the stall began within a few months of moving house or changing where you work, and nothing else significant changed at the same time, the space is a genuine candidate.
If it has followed you across two or three addresses, it is not the space. Something that recurs in three buildings is not being produced by any of them.
If it began at a move that also coincided with something else, a new job, a new city, a change at home, then the honest answer is that both may be involved, and the way to separate them is to look at what happened during comparable periods at earlier addresses.
Kundli vs Vastu: which one is actually causing the problem works through that separation properly. It is worth doing before spending anything, because the two answers cost very different amounts.
What a workspace actually contributes
Where the building is a factor, three things carry most of the weight.
Where you sit. For anyone working from home this is the highest-exposure input in the property. The same seat, several hours a day, for years. It also costs nothing to change.
What you face. Direction while working is the classic Vastu question for this topic and it is asked so often because it is both cheap to change and easy to get wrong. A desk pushed against whichever wall had space is not a decision anybody made.
What occupies the zones your chart is sensitive to. This is the part generic advice cannot supply. A property is mapped across sixteen directional zones, but which of them carry weight for you depends on which planets are prominent in your chart. A heavy, cluttered corner is a finding in one person's chart and a footnote in another's.
That last point is the reason two people can follow the same online Vastu guidance and get different results from it. Why can the same house be good for one person but not another explains the mechanism.
What a workspace cannot account for
Being straight about this is what separates advice from a sales pitch.
A desk direction does not compensate for being in the wrong field. It does not fix a role that was never going to lead anywhere, a company that is contracting, or a sector in difficulty. And it does not override a period in which effort genuinely is not converting, which happens to everybody and which has a duration.
Where a career has stalled because the work itself is a mismatch, no amount of rearranging addresses it, and the useful reading is a different one entirely. Which career is best for me reads the professional chain from Saturn rather than from the building.
Where the stall is a timing question, job change kab karni chahiye covers the difference between a genuine opening and ordinary restlessness.
What to try before paying anybody
Two things, and neither costs anything.
Move the desk. Change where you sit and what you face, and give it a month. This is the highest-value single change available to most people and it costs an afternoon. If a consultant's first recommendation would have been this, you have had it for nothing.
Clear the corner. Weight and accumulated clutter in the zones around a workspace is among the most common findings in any property, and the remedy is a bin bag.
If either produces a noticeable change, the space was a factor and a proper assessment is likely to be worth having. If neither does anything at all, that is useful information too, and it points you at the chart rather than the building.
When an assessment is worth it
When the timing test points at the property rather than at a period. When you work from home and will be in the same seat for years, so the exposure is high. When a move coincided with the stall. Or when you are about to choose a new property and can still let the finding influence which one you take.
An Astro Vastu consultation maps the property across sixteen zones and reads those findings against the birth details of the people living there, returning them ranked rather than listed. Most of what comes back sits in placement, colour and material, none of which need building work. Can Vastu be corrected without breaking walls sets out that ordering.
And if the answer turns out to be that the house is fine and you are in a demanding period, that is a legitimate finding. It is also the one you are least likely to be given by anyone selling a remedy.
